Earlier today during Nintendo‘s E3 press conference, the company announced a set of minigames called Nintendo Land that will be releasing exclusively for the Wii U.
The game “uses various Nintendo characters to show off the capabilities of the new systems.” Nintendo Land will include 12 different attractions and though we don’t have details on all of them just yet, The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest, Animal Crossing: Sweet Day, DK’s Crash Course, and Takamaru’s Ninja Castle were mentioned during the press conference.
“If all the classic Nintendo franchises came together in a virtual theme park that was the perfect place to start experiencing the magic of the Wii U GamePad,” Fils-Aime explained, “that would be Nintendo Land.
“Wii Sports explained Wii’s appeal, and Nintendo Land does the same thing. Play it, and you begin to understand. With it, the second screen takes on fuller meaning.”
Nintendo Land will launch this holiday with the Wii U.
We’ll bring you more information as it becomes available.
