Everyone’s favorite not-that-smart ’90s has-been is back with another mind-blowingly brainless take about Donald Trump. That’s right, Kevin Sorbo, author of such takes as “Jan. 6 was peaceful” and “the vaccine causes everything bad in the world” now has a new one to add to his list.
It’s really something.
Where to start? The president before Trump also didn’t get us into any new wars, but I guess since he was a Democrat, that doesn’t matter. Regardless, this line of thinking is so idiotic it’s hard to even dissect. In what universe does not getting us into any new wars equate with Trump allegedly committing crimes and being prosecuted for them?
This line of thinking is called a false equivalence fallacy. It’s a common right-wing tactic whereby two completely different subjects are compared based on… a complete lack of reasoning skills. It’s also colloquially called the “apples to oranges” comparison.
Of course, people in the comments were quick to point this out. Turns out there are a lot of fans out there of Sorbo’s really dumb takes.
Fun one from satirist Gary Peterson. “Article 53 of the Patriot Pass.” LOL.
Here’s someone who completed the 8th grade where they taught you how comparisons work.
Someone also called this line of thinking “Herculean shithousery.” That’s worth the price of admission right there folks.
It’s pretty simple for everyone to see.
Regardless, one great thing about Sorbo is that no matter how many times people point out how wrong he is, he’s still going to just keep on coming with his uneducated and poorly-thought out takes. Thank you for your service, Sorbo.
