12 years old is a pretty young age to find success in one field let alone two, but that hasn’t deterred Brooklynn Prince one bit. The actress, who stars in the much talked about Cocaine Bear, burst onto the scene in 2017 with her critically lauded role in The Florida Project, but moving picture is not the only arena she wants to make her mark in.

Prince, a Florida resident, on top of stealing scenes in the dark comedy Cocaine Bear, directed by Elizabeth Banks, is now also releasing her very own original comic book titled Misfortune’s Eye. Talking to The Hollywood Reporter the young actress and comic book enthusiast said that her “nerd dreams” are coming true. She pitched the idea for Misfortune’s Eye to Sumerian Comics, one of the major publishers of comic books and graphic novels, who decided to take it on.

Along with Aliz Ferdinand who co-authored the comic, Prince will get to see her idea come to fruition when it is unveiled at Orlando Mega Con. The comic follows the story of Vivian Nightingale, a young girl who discovers she can see people’s auras on the day of her 15th birthday. She then embarks on a journey to see what the future holds for her with this gift, which leads her to Hemlock Hallows, a secret psychic town. Here she discovers her mother’s own troubled past, and that she is cursed with predicting death, which shows her that a troubling future awaits Vivian and the inhabitants of the town as well as her family.

Prince will appear at the convention as a speaker on a panel at the convention where she will likely discuss her fantastic creation. The 12-year-old has been on a roll within the last five years, winning the Best Young Actor/Actress at the Critics Choice Award at the age of seven for her role in The Florida Project. This led to a beautifully adorable acceptance speech going viral where the actress teared up while saying, “all the nominees are great you guys are awesome, we should go get ice cream after this.” It truly is amazing to see such a young person achieving such success so early in life, and really is a testament to her talent.

You can catch her currently in theatres playing the scene-stealing Dee Dee in Cocaine Bear. It is currently unknown where her comic Misfortune’s Eye will be available for purchase after its debut next week.
