Steven Seagal has been transported into the John Wick universe, at least if a hilarious new fan-made trailer is to be believed.

In the edited trailer uploaded to the YouTube channel Corridor, clips from Seagal’s illustrious canon have been spliced in the style of a John Wick trailer, with numerous cameos from the likes of Alfie Allen, Ian McShane and Vladimir Putin, the last of whom is a noted friend of Seagal’s

The clip makes reference to a host of running in-jokes among the Seagal fandom, including his affinity for sitting in a chair in 2003’s Out for a Kill, and his inability to enunciate in any number of his other credits. The clip elsewhere intersperses videos of Seagal playing his beloved electric guitar, and trying his hand at the slapstick martial arts that defined much of his career. To cap it all off, the trailer ends with a pun-filled title card that reads: John Thick: The Last Stand.

Corridor has elsewhere shared their hilarious takes in the form of reimagined trailers for Spider-Man, Home Alone and the ill-fated Batgirl, among other films. Watch the hilarious fan-made John Thick trailer below.

Although Seagal starred in action films of objectively lower quality than the John Wick franchise, fans have seemingly gotten a kick out of the actor’s faux role in the Keanu Reeves vehicle, with many viewers commenting that the trailer was something they “never knew we needed.” Another YouTube user agreed, writing: “dunno about you guys, but I would pay to watch the full feature length thing.”

While the edited trailer is purely a fictional exercise among fans, the franchise itself will be the subject of multiple upcoming spin-offs — none of which (thankfully) will feature Seagal. Ballerina, a prequel starring Ana De Armas, is set for release next year, while The Continental will explore the titular hotel for assassins that Wick patronizes in the movies in the form of a three-part TV series.

For his part, Seagal is related to another reboot in the form of Under Siege, the 1992 film he starred in that will soon be remade for HBO Max.
