Per The Cosmic Circus, the writers’ room has undergone some structural changes to meet the creative demands of the second season. Showrunner Michael Waldron remains at the helm as head writer and executive producer of the series. However, this season, he shares his duties with Eric Martin, who graduated from staff writer to co-showrunner.

In addition to Martin, the production team has evolved to include Rachel Sydney Alter joining the team as producer, who counts Heels and The Society among her writing credits. She also served as executive story editor on the Netflix crime drama Outer Banks. Katharyn Blair, who co-wrote episode four and episode six of Loki‘s first season, has been promoted to executive story editor of the series.

The writers from season one remain in place, with Elissa Karasik, Bisha K. Ali, Tom Kauffman, and Jess Dweck on hand to continue Loki’s story. Two new staff writers, Brett Maline, and Kasra Farahani, will join them to take the second season to the next level.

With a formidable creative team in place to navigate the challenges of the coming seasonLoki seems to be in capable hands. Fans are eager to see Tom Hiddleston return to the iconic role of the shape-shifting god of mischief and explore the ripe possibility of the multiverse.

Season 2 of Loki premieres on Disney Plus this October 6.
