Deadpool 3 has been shooting for weeks already, but now what we’ve been waiting years for — our first glimpse at Ryan Reynolds‘ Wade Wilson in the MCU — is finally here. And, guess what, fans still aren’t satisfied. Blame Hugh Jackman. Meanwhile, a fresh look at The Marvels is due soon, so hopes are high that it’s going to right a wrong concerning the first trailer’s serious lack of Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson. Last but not least, an upcoming Marvel Studios movie promises crossovers galore.
First Deadpool 3 reveal the Merc is more comics-accurate than ever, but fans can still only talk about Wolverine
The first set pics for Deadpool 3 have arrived, and they showcase Ryan Reynolds in a fresh costume as the Merc with the Mouth, which honestly could well be one of the MCU’s most comic book-authentic super-suits yet. But — you know what — even the sight of Reynolds back in the red and black as DP isn’t enough to keep folks from dreaming about what Hugh Jackman’s going to look like when he finally dons the classic Wolverine costume, which we’re feeling even more strongly now is going to happen. Sorry, Ryan, but it looks like Hugh won this round of your never-ending game of oneupmanship.
Don Cheadle’s post-Secret Invasion redemption looks to have stronger MCU ties than expected
Secret Invasion‘s latest revelation might indicate that Rhodey is a Skrull, but War Machine fans shouldn’t fear as Don Cheadle’s Armored Avenger is sure to win us back over in his very own movie — Armor Wars — which you may have forgotten is still in the works. What’s more, the latest intel on the film indicates that we could be in for a celebration of the Iron Man franchise, with various characters from both the MCU’s long past and those who are set to play a big role in its future allegedly on course to join the cast. For those who’ve been following the Marvel universe since 2008’s Iron Man, this one should be a real treat.
The Marvels trailer is apparently imminent, so Brie Larson fans are laying out their demands
The word on the street is that The Marvels is getting a new trailer very soon, which is cause for celebration… even if it’s also causing those left a tad disappointed by the first one that dropped back in April to cross their fingers that the sequel’s actual star will get some more to do this time. Sure, the film is obviously a team-up between Carol Danvers and Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau, but Brie Larson’s loyal band of protectors are demanding that the focus on Larson’s heroine not get lost in the mix. After all, we’ve previously established that The Marvels is the actress’ last chance to turn the haters around.
Secret Invasion is already battling accusations of irrelevancy, but the MCU itself looks set to never go out of style, so don’t miss the latest Marvel updates as they come.
