First Gameplay Demo Footage Of Metal Gear Rising Surfaces

When not releasing oddly chosen pictures of their upcoming Metal Gear Rising, Konami is releasing demo footage for their hotly anticipated title, in which things get sliced, and diced. Okay, maybe not diced.

I didn’t get a chance to play it, but I believe this is the demo they had for the press at E3 last month, which means this is the first time we’ve seen undoctored(?) gameplay footage of the game in years.

The demo, courtesy of IGN, shows a chunk of the tutorial at the beginning of the game and places Raiden in VR training (of course), in order to get used to a few of his new abilities. Although, he seemed to have pretty good command of it in Metal Gear Solid 4, so maybe there’s something they’re not telling us here.

Regardless, have a look at the video for yourself. And then stare at the calendar in lament that 2013 is still a ways off.
