Don’t give up hope yet, hang in there folks, we promise you, an Entourage movie is still happening. Really, we swear, don’t believe us? Well maybe you’ll believe HBO.
According to TV Line, the network is still working with series creator Doug Ellin on the script and they still plan to bring their beloved show to the big screen.
Co-president of HBO programming, Michael Lombardo, told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s press tour that a script is indeed in the works:
“[Creator] Doug [Ellin], as of this week, is on page 65 [of the] film’s script, and he’s excited about it.”
Lombardo’s statements seem to fit in with what other members of the cast and crew have said as well, which is reassuring.
Mark Wahlberg, who has an executive producer credit on the show, confirmed earlier this year that the movie was still happening as did star Adrian Grenier, who told me in the Fall that Entourage will definitely make its way to the big screen.
For a long time Entourage was my favorite show on television. Though it started to slip up a bit in its final years, it’s still incredibly entertaining and Ari Gold is hands down one of the best TV characters of all time.
I’ve seen every episode of the show, multiple times, and I really, really hope that the movie eventually comes to fruition. I need some more Entourage in my life.
Of course, most of you are probably wondering where the story would take us. Unfortunately, we don’t have any details on that just yet, but when we do, we’ll be sure to let you know.
For now though, we can begin speculating as to where an Entourage movie would take us. So head down to the comments section below and let us know what you would like to see in the film.
