We’re only two months away from the release of the new James Bond film, Skyfall, and it seems that the marketing is in full swing.
Today, thanks to The Film Stage, we have a new one-minute spot for the film that features some new footage. It’s a very enticing look at the film, featuring multiple action scenes and a few small glimpses of Javier Bardem’s villain. Yes, I know we’ve seen him before, but it’s still worth mentioning to remind ourselves that we’ll be getting a much better villain than we did with Quantum of Solace.
I’m very interested to see how Sam Mendes is going to handle the film, given that he’s most well known for winning a Best Director Oscar for American Beauty, an amazing drama. The previous Bond film was also directed by someone mostly known for drama, and we all know how that turned out.
Hopefully with the four-year break, Mendes and his crew have been able to take their time to fashion a Bond film that will be able to stand right beside Casino Royale as one of the best in the series. What we’ve seen so far makes it look like they’re headed in the right direction and as of now, my hopes are high.
Skyfall will finally be unleashed in the States on November 9th and on October 26th in the UK.
