As promised, Treyarch detailed Call of Duty: Black Ops 2‘s Zombies mode today, revealing two new additions to the classic Survival game that fans know and love.

The first new mode is a story-based campaign within Zombies called Tranzit. This mode allows up to four-player co-op and has teams explore an “expansive” map, described as an “open area game world” made up of “interconnected zones”.

As the name implies, Tranzit will allow players to travel between the areas in a bus (the same one shown in the trailer below). In addition to being transportation, the bus will also serve as their shelter, however, “it’s also a confined space, so it comes with its own issues.”

Tranzit also allows for “buildables” that players can use as weapons or as a means to defend themselves and the bus.

Black Ops 2‘s other new Zombies mode is called Grief, which is a competitive survival mode that has players fight both each other and the zombies. In this mode players can not directly shoot each other to kill opposing team members, however, they can “make their lives harder” by finding ways to use the zombies against the other team. In Grief, the last team left standing wins the game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 launches for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on November 13th, with a Wii U version launching alongside the new console on November 18th.
