Nintendo has announced that the comically large 3DS XL Circle Pad Pro will launch in Japan on November 15th for 1,500 yen (approximately $19), the same price as the original Circle Pad Pro.
The Big N first revealed the mother of all 3DS XL peripherals last month, but has not yet confirmed if the massive beast will ever see a Western release. The 3DS Circle Pad Pro did eventually find its way to the US as a GameStop exclusive, so it would be reasonable to assume that this new ginormous version will also make the trip at some point.
We suspect that Nintendo of America is working around the clock to secure the oversized cargo containers needed to transport the 3DS XL Circle Pad Pro to the US, and is simply waiting to make the announcement until everything is finalized. Considering the logistics that must be involved in shipping that many tons of plastic, we are willing to cut them some slack for not making it official yet.
