World’s Finest Movie Titled Batman Vs. Superman?

Ever since a World's Finest feature was announced at Comic-Con, fans have been speculating about actors who could potentially play Batman, characters who should make an appearance, and the movie's title. We may have to wait a little while for casting news regarding the role of the Caped Crusader (or any other Justice League/Society members for that matter), but it seems David S. Goyer recently revealed to ComicBookMovie (via /Film) what they're calling the film during pre-production. He said:

Ever since a World’s Finest feature was announced at Comic-Con, fans have been speculating about actors who could potentially replace Christian Bale as Batman, characters who should make an appearance, and the movie’s title. We may have to wait a little while for casting news regarding the role of the Caped Crusader (or any other Justice League/Society members for that matter), but it seems that David S. Goyer recently revealed to ComicBookMovie (via /Film) what they’re calling the film during pre-production.

Check out his quote below:

So over in Hall H at the Warner Bros., I guess most people know now, at the end of the Warner Bros. panel Zack came out and he brought Harry Lennix, who plays General Swanwick in Man of Steel and we –- actually, Harry read a bit from [The Dark Knight Returns] and so the next film we’re making, we’re already in pre-production, comes out in summer of 2015. We’re actually not sure whether the title is Superman vs. Batman or Batman vs. Superman but yes, it’s –- that rematch, that combination, the two guys onscreen and that’s happening.

I’m not going to lie — that’s a pretty uninspired title. I wouldn’t mind watching a movie featuring two of DC’s most beloved characters, but Goyer and Snyder should at least come up with a better name for it.

Despite the lame title, this Man of Steel sequel shows promise, even though we were actually sort of hoping we’d get a Justice League film instead, but under the circumstances, I guess Batman vs. Superman will have to do for now.

What do you think? Does the movie deserve a better title? Yeah, of course it does, but let us know in the comments below if you disagree.
