Microsoft has announced a trio of Xbox 360 holiday bundles which are set to hit worldwide retailers very soon. The packs, which will release in three distinct SKUs, each come bundled with one free month of Xbox Live as well as a variety of games. For North America, Microsoft will also be running a limited price promotion from October 13th to January 4th, 2014 that will enable customers to get $50 off their bundle of choice.
Here’s the selection of Xbox 360 packs, which were unveiled through the Major Nelson blog.
250GB Kinect: The Xbox 360 250GB Kinect Holiday Value Bundle includes: Kinect Sports: Season Two, Kinect Adventures, and Forza Horizon. It also includes 1 Month of Xbox Live Gold.
4GB Kinect: The Xbox 360 4GB Kinect Holiday Value Bundle includes: Kinect Sports: Season Two and Kinect Adventures. It also includes 1 Month of Xbox Live Gold.
250GB: The Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Value Bundle includes: Halo 4 and Tomb Raider, and 1 Month of Xbox Live Gold for a limited time this Holiday.
Without question, this is a clear sign of the company clearing existing stock in preparation for the launch of the Xbox One – which is now just forty days from general release. With that said, these bundles are extremely appealing for first time buyers, especially when you consider that Microsoft plan to support the current-gen system for the next three years.
In terms of pricing, the 250GB bundle –which includes Halo 4 and Tomb Raider as an appealing one-two – as well as the 4GB Kinect package will retail at $299.99 on Microsoft’s online store, whereas the fully-fledged 250GB version with the Kinect included will be priced at $399.99. Whether you’ve yet to pick up an Xbox 360 or your older machine is teetering dangerously close to the infamous red ring, now seems like as good a time as any to pick up the console in preparation for the next generation.
