Liam Neeson will continue his action hero tour, that began back in 2008’s Taken, with this month’s Non-Stop. Directed by Jaume Collet-Sera, who worked with the actor on Unknown, the story will see Neeson as an air marshall trying to save a plane full of passengers. Strip away the layers and you basically have the same premise as every other film that the actor has made for the past 5 or 6 years. But you know what they say: if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.
Today, just in case you needed a clearer idea of exactly what Non-Stop will entail, Universal has released 4 new clips from the film, showing it to be pretty much what we all expected back when it was announced. Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing. As many will attest to, despite doing the same routine over and over again Liam Neeson is good at what he does and is always entertaining to watch on screen.
Sure, it would be nice to see him change things up a bit but as his track record has proven, being a middle aged action hero does wonders at the box office. Audiences still eat this stuff up and I have no doubt that Non-Stop will end up doing pretty good business for Universal.
Non-Stop flies into theatres on February 28th. Check out the four clips below and let us know whether or not you’re looking forward to seeing Liam Neeson do his thing again.
