Zac Efron Throws A Robert De Niro Party In New Neighbors Clip

Coming to us from Universal on May 9th is Neighbors, the new Nicholas Stoller comedy starring Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, Zac Efron and Dave Franco. We caught the film last week at SXSW and gave it a favourable review. And from this newly released clip, it's easy to see why this one is going over so well with audiences.

Coming to us from Universal on May 9th is Neighbors, the new Nicholas Stoller comedy starring Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, Zac Efron and Dave Franco. We caught the film last week at SXSW and gave it a favourable review. And from this newly released clip, it’s easy to see why this one is going over so well with audiences.

Neighbors follows Rogen and Byrne as Mac and Kelly Radner, a young couple who find that their peaceful, suburban life is turned on its head when a frat, led by Zac Efron’s Teddy, moves into the house beside them. Of course, hilarity and hi-jinxes ensue as the frat is determined to stay where they are, and the Radners are hellbent on getting them to move out.

Personally, while I found the film to be very, very funny at times, it was also a bit too over the top. That’s not to say it’s unenjoyable, not at all. I just think that some of the humor was too absurd and out there, for me at least. It’s like Get Him To The Greek multiplied by 10, if you can even imagine that.

The clip released today is actually my favorite scene from Neighbors, and watching it for a second time still has me cracking up. In it, the frat is throwing a Robert De Niro party and they’re all impersonating iconic characters that the actor has played. It’s absolutely hysterical and should give you a good laugh.

Neighbors invades theatres on May 9th. Check out the clip below and let us know what you think.
