Matt Reeves’ upcoming Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is one of our most anticipated films of the summer, and so far, 20th Century Fox has done a pretty good job of keeping details about the sequel under wraps. Though the movie opens on July 11th, we’ve seen very little from it, probably because of the extensive CGI work needed to perfect the look of the multitude of motion-captured and highly realistic apes.
Now, it seems like the marketing machine is finally getting ready to kick into high gear, as Fox has released a teaser for the upcoming trailer, which will arrive on May 8th.
While there certainly isn’t much to look at, it’s good to know that we only have to wait a few more days before we finally get some new footage of those damn, dirty apes.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo and Judy Greer. Be sure to stay tuned as we’ll have the new trailer posted on the site as soon as it goes live on May 8th!
