A Potential Map Of Jurassic World Has Leaked

One of our most hotly anticipated upcoming films is Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World, though at this point in time we know very little about the fourth installment of the beloved dinosaur action/adventure franchise. In truth, we have more questions than we do answers, though with production now officially underway, some rumors and leaked photos have made their way online.

One of our most hotly anticipated upcoming films is Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World, though at this point in time we know very little about the fourth installment of the beloved dinosaur action/adventure franchise. In truth, we have more questions than we do answers, though with production now officially underway, some rumors and leaked photos have made their way online.

A few days ago, we discussed the exciting possibility of genetically-mutated dinosaurs wreaking havoc on the park, which requires the humans to fight fire with fire… or, in this case, dinosaur with dinosaur. Now, some images have leaked and they offer a potential look at the park itself, providing a few clues about which dinosaurs and exhibits will be included in the film.

The photos come from JPLegacy.com, and are supposedly “legit.” However, the journalist in me requires a bit more concrete evidence than that, so let’s just file this away as a rumor for now. With that said, check out the photos below:

Now, let’s take a closer look, shall we? The map seems to confirm reports that Jurassic World won’t be under construction, but is actually a full-functioning park at the original film’s location, Isla Nublar. Such attractions include a golf course, “Gentle Giants Petting Zoo,” a water park, an aviary, a creation lab, botanical gardens, a gondola lift, something called the “Egg Spinner,” the “Gyrosphere” we heard about a few days ago, a bamboo forest, and an underwater observatory. I don’t know about you, but those rides just bring the words “imminent doom” to mind, don’t they?

As far as which formerly-extinct dinosaurs we may see, the map points to areas labeled “Triceratops Territory,” “Mosasaurus Feeding Show,” “Gallimimus Valley,” “Cretaceous Cruise,” “Pachy Arena,” and “T-Rex Kingdom.” This seems to confirm the rumors that we’ll finally get to see some underwater dinos this time around, and suggests that maybe the folks running the park have decided against including such man-eating creatures as Velociraptors. Of course, they could certainly still make an appearance, as suggested in these previously leaked plot details:

There will be lots of Dino on Dino fighting, as some of the Dinos are “good guys” that are trained by Chris Pratt’s character. The raptors and T-Rex are among the “trained” good dinosaurs. The big bad dinosaur has instant camouflage abilities, like the cuttlefish, so he blends into the background, is smart like the velociraptor, uses his jaw like a snake, and can terrorize like the T-Rex. Does this mean the new dino will be the ONLY “bad” one? Or will there be more than one? Unconfirmed, but it will be the catalyst that kicks off the peril.

As I said before, this is just a rumor for now, though the map certainly looks legitimate and falls in line with some of the previous reports we’ve heard. However, I suspect it will be a while before we learn any concrete details, since Jurassic World doesn’t hit theaters until June 12th, 2015.

Tell us, what do you think of these (potentially) leaked map images? Do they help raise your excitement for the film? Let us know in the comment section below.
