It what can only be described as the least surprising news of the week, Ubisoft has released a very brief teaser for The Division, which announces that the title will indeed make an appearance at the company’s E3 showing next week.
Recently delayed to a Q2 2015 time window, The Division made a huge splash at last year’s E3 show, wowing gamers with its SnowDrop powered graphics engine. Even with the disappointing delay, perhaps made worse by knowing that title may not even make 2015, the post-apocalyptic shooter remains one of the more anticipated offerings coming to current-gen consoles.
It will be interesting to see just what exactly Ubisoft plans on showing off from the title. This teaser doesn’t help clarify the matter, as all it shows off is a time-lapsed look at a city and a rendition of “Silent Night”, for some reason. While it would be nice to get a longer and better look at the gameplay and to find out just how the MMO aspect of the title will work, the recent delay has me thinking that may be too much to hope for.
We will have more information on The Division during next week’s E3 press conference from Ubisoft.
