Today, the organizers of the annual Toronto International Film Festival took to the stage during a press conference to thank all those involved in making the prestigious 11-day festival possible and announce the titles of some of the main attractions that festival attendees can look forward to seeing. As one of the biggest festivals around, the TIFF lineup did not disappoint, including a bevy of awards contenders and promising films from acclaimed directors.

We’ve got heavy hitters like The Imitation GameWildFoxcatcher and The Judge, other star-powered awards hopefuls like The Good Lie and The Theory of Everything, and even some more mainstream titles like action-thriller The Equalizer and  This is Where I Leave You. It’s certainly going to be a terrific year at TIFF, with plenty of titles to please every possible audience.

Personally, I’m most excited at the inclusion of David Cronenberg’s Maps to the Stars, simply because I’ve never been disappointed by one of his films, and Nightcrawler, which stars an extremely haggard Jake Gyllenhaal.

The 39th annual Toronto International Film Festival will run September 4- 14, 2014. Check the list of initial titles on the next page (over 200 films are expected to be announced in the future), and let us know what you’re most excited to see.
