Eminem And Sia Back New Spot For The Equalizer

There are multiple reasons to start getting excited for September's The Equalizer. The thriller teams Denzel Washington with his Training Day director Antoine Fuqua and finds the actor taking on another badass action hero role. Its supporting cast boasts Melissa Leo, Chloë Grace Moretz, Marton Csokas and Haley Bennett. And the film also features an original song by rapper Eminem with a chorus by "Chandelier" chanteuse Sia.

There are multiple reasons to start getting excited for September’s The Equalizer. The thriller teams Denzel Washington with his Training Day director Antoine Fuqua and finds the actor taking on another badass action hero role. Its supporting cast boasts Melissa Leo, Chloë Grace Moretz, Marton Csokas and Haley Bennett, and the film also features an original song by rapper Eminem with a chorus by Chandelier chanteuse Sia.

The latest TV spot not only really reminds us of what we already knew about The Equalizer‘s story, but it also highlights Eminem and Sia’s track, titled “Guts Over Fear.” Though we heard snippets of the song in a previous trailer, Eminem’s rapping is more center stage this time around – and Slim Shady sounds like he’s at the top of his game here.

Here’s the synopsis for The Equalizer:

In The Equalizer, Denzel Washington plays McCall, a man who believes he has put his mysterious past behind him and dedicated himself to beginning a new, quiet life. But when McCall meets Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), a young girl under the control of ultra-violent Russian gangsters, he can’t stand idly by — he has to help her. Armed with hidden skills that allow him to serve vengeance against anyone who would brutalize the helpless, McCall comes out of his self-imposed retirement and finds his desire for justice reawakened. If someone has a problem, if the odds are stacked against them, if they have nowhere else to turn, McCall will help. He is The Equalizer.

With its cast and director, The Equalizer is very much on my list of movies to see this fall when it opens on September 26th in IMAX.
