Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! Has Had Its Season Pass Detailed

Details have surfaced regarding Gearbox Software's cost-cutting Season Pass for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! It's all to be expected, though, and won't come out of left field - at least, not to those who are familiar with the frenetic first-person shooter/RPG hybrid franchise.

Details have surfaced regarding Gearbox Software’s cost-cutting Season Pass for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! It’s all to be expected, though, and won’t come out of left field – at least, not to those who are familiar with the frenetic first-person shooter/RPG hybrid franchise.

Likely to hit Xbox LIVE, PSN and PC in advance of the game’s October 14th release date, this Season Pass will grant those who purchase it (and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!) access to four different add-ons at a discounted price. The noted DLC will add new characters, challenges and missions, and will likely follow suit in the series’ tradition of themed, story-based expansions. Purchased alone, they’ll retail for $9.99, but the Season Pass itself offers a ten-dollar discount, coming in at just $29.99.

Those who pre-order the Gearbox Software/2K Australia developed title will be given a pre-order bonus in the form of the game’s Shock Drop: Slaughter Pit challenge map. Although it’s essentially downloadable content, this extra will not be a part of the Season Pass itself. It will, however, be sold separately.

Look for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! near the middle of next month. In the meantime, prepare yourself for a trip to the moon!
