Crowd-funded racer Project Cars has been granted a release date for the United Kingdom, with Slightly Mad Studios’ über-realistic simulator scheduled for November 21st in the country. And while Bandai Namco is yet to confirm a launch date for those in the States, it’s understood that the title will debut on November 18th.

That specific release window currently applies to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, as the anticipated genre title won’t make it onto Nintendo’s Wii U until 2015.

Seen as a direct competitor to the likes of Forza and Gran Turismo, Project Cars is undeniably a passion project from Slightly Mad — themselves formed from former Need for Speed alum — and it’s understood the company will self-publish the racing sim come November.

Much like those aforementioned competitors, Project Cars will feature painstakingly accurate recreations of real-world tracks not to mention vehicles from a variety of motorsports. Also, the studio has confirmed that the game has also been engineered with virtual reality in mind, meaning you can quite literally get behind the wheel via an Oculus Rift or, alternatively, a Project Morpheus when the commercial units become available.

For those ardent fans who wish to put their money down ahead of time, Slightly Mad has also unveiled a limited edition premium bundle that will a stylized steel case, a behind-the-scenes art book along with access to five in-game automobiles. Mind you, those automobiles aren’t your regular fare, as the studio consider the likes of the McLaren F1 and the BMW M1 ProCar as “Legendary Cars”.

Project Cars is expected to launch on November 18th in North America and November 21st in the UK.
