With shooting on the latest dino romp, Jurassic World, completed last month, the release of another pic from the set has got to make you wonder: how big is Colin Trevorrow’s SD card?

Regardless of the gigabyte capacity, the snap leaked onto Twitter by the director himself is poised to make fans of the original sit up and take notice. And then consider the implications of an innocent photo. With the simple caption “Autumn”, this latest shot pays homage to a rrecognizablelocation from the first outing, a definite throwback to Steven Spielberg’s original 1993 flick, Jurassic Park.

Beneath a pile of crisp, golden leaves, a discarded sign which reads “East Dock” lays barely recognizable amidst the foliage. For fans of the first movie, you’ll remember the sequence in which the signage appeared. Dennis Nedry, the messy, opportunistic InGen employee, stole numerous vials of dino embryos and smuggled them out of the facility in a Barbasol shaving can. In his attempt to make it to the dock (in the pouring rain) to pass them on to a rival genetics lab, he crashed into the sign. After a clumsy attempt to figure out the direction he needed to traverse, he was attacked by a Dilophosaurus. The dino with the lovely coloured ruff that sprays a blinding goop into Nedry’s eyes. Before eating him.

Does this mean the embryos survived? It’s unlikely, on account of the rush Nedry went through getting them to the dock. The shaving can only offering a limited amount of time at the optimal temperature. But the sign itself is just as key.

What we know so far about the sequel is limited. Set on Isla Nublar, the same island from the first, it’ll jump 22 years after those initial events with a fully-fledged dino park in operation. Just like John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) always wanted. Will there be an area of the park that has been left derelict? Again, that scenario seems a bit of a push as the development of a multi-million dollar park would surely warrant a thorough clearing of the island. Who knows? Maybe there’ll be a Nedry flashback.

Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, BD Wong, Omar Sy, Judy Greer, Katie McGrath, Lauren Lapkus and Andy Buckley, and is scheduled to stomp into theatres on June 12th, 2015.
