With Assassin’s Creed: Unity, Ubisoft is trying to shake things up by offering new side missions. That’s good news, too, because if I’m being honest, the series has become somewhat repetitive as of late, due to its yearly release cycle.
Now you’ll be able to team up with up to three friends for four-player heist missions, and will also be able to tackle a variety of solo side quests from different angles. This includes Parisian stories, like murder mysteries, treasure hunts and assassinations. Each type looks to be fleshed out, too, meaning that they should all feel like hefty experiences, rather than quick engagements.
All of the above is detailed within a newly-released trailer, which is narrated by one of the main men behind the game. It doesn’t start out with talk about Unity‘s side missions, though, and actually opens with talk about the game world. There, it’s mentioned that the team put a lot of effort into creating a living, breathing and realistic version of Paris. As such, work was put into making each of the city’s regions feel unique.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity will release on November 11, and will usher in a new generation of the historically-focused series’ well-known gameplay.
