James Franco And Seth Rogen Bond With Kim Jong-Un In The Interview’s Raucous Final Trailer

Imagine you're tasked with killing North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un by the CIA, only to fly to the rogue nation and discover that the Dear Leader is a friendly, Katy Perry-loving guy with a softness for adorable puppies. Who could kill a dude like that? Such is the improbable dilemma faced by James Franco's airhead talk show host and his only slightly more level-headed producer (Seth Rogen) in The Interview.

Of course, all the mayhem is underscored by the same raunchy humor that has marked Franco and Rogen’s previous big-screen misadventures (including Pineapple Express and This is the End). The final trailer for The Interview, which you can check out above, looks to be a seriously funny treat for moviegoers this holiday season (and certainly a solid alternative to the glut of Oscar contenders arriving around the same time).

Veep breakout Randall Park co-stars as Kim, while the supporting cast includes Lizzy Caplan, Timothy Simons, Diana Bang and Reese Alexander. The Interview opens Christmas Day.

In the action-comedy The Interview, Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show “Skylark Tonight.” When they discover that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable, to assassinate Kim Jong-un.
