Dead Island 2 Beta To Shuffle Onto PlayStation 4 First

Even though we have no idea when the Dead Island 2 beta will kick off, we now know that PlayStation 4 owners will get to experience the action first. Originally thought to be open to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC users at the same time, news of the exclusivity was discovered by a NeoGAF user upon his attempt to register for the beta.

Tucked away on the FAQ page is a message that states:

Note: Those who have selected PS4 as their platform of choice for the Dead Island 2 Beta will receive access 30 days before Xbox One and PC users.

While not exactly a huge deal, this news has to be a disappointment to Xbox One and PC gamers who were looking forward to the beta. No one wants to be left out in the cold when it comes to these experiences, and considering we don’t know how long the beta will last, it’s possible that PlayStation 4 owners could have double the playtime of their counterparts.

With this news now officially out in the open, hopefully Deep Silver will be ready to reveal more about the Dead Island 2 beta shortly. When we hear anything more, we’ll be sure to let you know.
