Quantum Of Solace Star On Board For Sam Mendes’ Spectre

One facet that rose to the fore shortly after the special event was that the 24th installment in the celebrated spy series would see the return of Jesper Christensen's Mr. White, who had a role in both Casino Royale and its middling follow-up, Quantam of Solace.

After much speculation and debate across the four corners of the Internet, Sony Pictures and MGM announced the title and the leading cast members of Sam Mendes’ upcoming Bond 24 just yesterday, which is now known as Spectre.

But one facet that rose to the fore shortly after the special event was that the 24th installment in the celebrated spy series would see the return of Jesper Christensen’s Mr. White, who had a role in both Casino Royale and its middling follow-up, Quantum of Solace.

The actor confirmed the news to Euroman, hinting that Spectre could have ties to the Quantum storyline found in Daniel Craig’s first two outings as Bond, though we’ll just have to wait patiently until the film’s 2016 release to know for sure.

“I am looking forward to working with Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig. It is a truly exciting script and a very capable team. So it’ll be fun…”

What makes this announcement somewhat jarring is the fact that Skyfall didn’t allude to the Quantum plot whatsoever, and instead stands as an independent adventure so to speak. Now, though, it seems safe to assume that Mendes and Co. will look to provide a conclusive end to the plot thread in the upcoming continuation.

Though casting members were certainly the main takeaway from yesterday’s event, Mendes also confirmed that Let The Right One In and Interstellar cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema is on board as the director of photography which, given the DP’s recent string of work, is very exciting indeed.

Spectre will bring together newcomers Christoph Waltz, Dave Bautista, Andrew Scott, Monica Bellucci and Léa Seydouz, who will join the likes of Daniel Craig, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes and now Jesper Christensen when the film makes its bow in theaters on November 5, 2015.
