New Fifty Shades Of Grey Trailer Will Attempt To Make You Swoon

The worldwide popularity of the Fifty Shades Of Grey novel soon prompted the production of a film that's about to land in cinemas across the globe. For every person who simply adored the book, there's a fair few who thought it left a lot to be desired (oh, the irony considering its subject matter!) Whichever camp you're in, there's no mistaking that the big screen version is destined to be the kind of 'event' that will provoke polarized reactions from the public.

This latest teaser for the film debuted during last night’s Golden Globes ceremony, during which the two leading stars also presented an award. The fact that their moment of autocue shenanigans revealed them to possess no chemistry whatsoever is somewhat troublesome/amusing. That old ‘suspend your disbelief’ mantra is difficult to enact when Jamie Dornan (the clean-cut hunk) and Dakota Johnson (the impressionable ingenue) looked utterly sick of the sight of one another.

For the most part, the teaser treads over familiar ground we’ve previously seen. Innuendo. Breathy voiceovers. Unnecessary fawning. Still, there’s a silver lining here in the shape of Marcia Gay Harden, who makes her first preview appearance as Christian Grey’s mother.

Check out the teaser above and let us know if you’ll be in line to see it when Fifty Shades of Grey opens on February 13th.
