The sly hints HBO has dropped thus far concerning season 5 of Game Of Thrones have all revolved around The Sight. A clever promotional tool - that's quite easy to remember - it ties in to an element from George R.R. Martin's series of novels. The Sight will be familiar to fans of the books and series as it's the official nomenclature for Bran Stark's precognitive visual ability. So, by strapping the title onto its newest duo of clips, HBO are offering you the chance to experience Bran's gift - by seeing some of season 5!

The sly hints that HBO has dropped thus far concerning season 5 of Game Of Thrones have all revolved around The Sight. A clever promotional tool – that’s quite easy to remember – it ties into an element from George R.R. Martin’s series of novels. The Sight will be familiar to fans of the books and series as it’s the official nomenclature for Bran Stark’s precognitive visual ability. So, by strapping the title onto its newest duo of clips, HBO are offering you the chance to experience Bran’s gift – by seeing some of season 5!

Much like Bran’s visions, they’re both brief, teasing looks at two different moments from the upcoming season. The first features Jon Snow and Mance Rayder engaged in a tense chat as Snow tries to placate Rayder. It’s not hilarious, but the latter’s sole line that closes out the clip is delivered with the typical deadpan humor the show thrives on. The second clip is even shorter, catching up with Brienne of Tarth and Podrick for a mere moment as the fearless protector laments the loss of her king.

Based on the fifth and sixth novels in Martin’s best-selling series, Game Of Thrones returns to HBO for season 5 on April 12.

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne continues.

It stretches from the south, where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues, to the vast and savage eastern lands, where a young queen raises an army. All the while, in the frozen north, an 800-foot wall of ice precariously protects the war-ravaged kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men…all play the ‘Game of Thrones.’

An original series based on George R.R. Martin’s best-selling ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ series. Winter returns to HBO in Spring 2015.
