With the final part of the Harry Potter series out in a little more than a month (July 15th), retrospectives of all 8 Harry Potter films are being posted on YouTube in honor of J.K. Rowling’s bestselling series. One of the most outstanding is Through the Pensieve, a memorial in honor of Harry Potter and his friends.
All Harry Potter fans know that a pensieve is a magical basin used to truly experience people’s memories, which is why this YouTube “pensieve” is so great. The video itself is well put together, showcasing Harry and his friends in their most emotional and memorable moments throughout the films.
After viewing Through the Pensieve, I’m wondering even more about the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Will the filmmakers do a good job of capturing all the highlights from the novel as they have before? Will it be a fitting end to a truly fantastic series? One thing is certain—the Harry Potter cinematic franchise will be missed as the series of films leave theatres permanently after this year. What a wonderful 10 years it has been.
