After months of behind-the-scenes featurettes and images, the 24th Bond instalment has delivered a shot of the hard stuff. The first teaser trailer for the secret agent’s next batch of adventures has finally arrived online. And boy, is it a zinger.
Featuring Daniel Craig as the titular secret agent, SPECTRE picks up sometime after the events of Skyfall and follows Bond as he embarks on another globe-trotting mission to track down a mysterious organization. As expected, he comes up against a veritable cast of surly baddies keen to halt his quest, and an array of dazzling beauties to ease the pain of all those nasty scrapes.
Returning director Sam Mendes hits his stride in this brief but awe-inspiring preview for the flick. Exotic locales, bursts of action, and lingering looks at the new roster of acting talent all suggest we’re in for another wild ride later this year.
If the sight of Craig and co. in action has you eager for November to arrive, then brace yourself. Not only will Bond be kickin’ ass and taking names on the big screen – he’ll be doing it on an even BIGGER screen. This morning, the studio issued a statement revealing that SPECTRE will be digitally remastered using IMAX technology, for what promises to be a stonking cinematic experience when it arrives November 6.
In SPECTRE, a cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE. Sam Mendes returns to direct SPECTRE, with Daniel Craig reprising his role as 007 for the fourth time. SPECTRE is produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, from a script by John Logan and Neal Purvis & Robert Wade.
