NBA star DeAndre Jordan recently toured the Batman exhibit and was treated to an up-close look at not only the new Batmobile that Ben Affleck will be driving in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice next year, but the costumes that DC’s holy Trinity will be donning.
Thankfully, he took the tour with a camera crew and has now posted a video of what he saw. Check it out below:
Several new things stick out here. As far as the costumes go, Wonder Woman’s suit has more color than we initially thought, while Batman’s is even more detailed than comic book fans expected. Not only does the Bat’s utility belt have dark yellow accents, but his gloves have steel-plated knuckles, which should help (slightly) when he engages in fisticuffs with the Man of Steel.
The new Batmobile, designed by car coordinator Dennis McCarthy (Batman Begins, Furious 7) and special effects designer Patrick Tatopoulos (Independence Day, I Am Legend) is twenty feet long and twelve feet wide, with shaved down tractor tires. The car itself raises when it does jumps and moves lower to the ground during cruising scenes to make itself more aerodynamic.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will hit theaters on March 25th, 2016. Check out the images and video above for a closer look at the costumes and Batmobile in the film and let us know what you think in the comments section.
