Watch Livestream For Sony’s E3 2015 Press Conference

From Halo 5: Guardians to Rise of the Tomb Raider, Gears of War 4 to the rather surprising addition of backwards compatibility on Xbox One, there's no question that Microsoft had a very strong E3 showcase earlier today. But with mere minutes to go before Sony takes to the stage in the Los Angeles Convention Center, what could the Japanese platform holder call upon if it is to top Microsoft.

But with mere minutes to go before Sony takes to the stage in the Los Angeles Convention Center, what could the Japanese platform holder call upon if it is to top Microsoft?

We already know the company’s floor plan and playable titles, but what announcements do we think the publisher has up its sleeve? In our pre-E3 coverage, we recounted what software we’d like to see announced when the neon-blue lights begin to dim. Is it possible that 2015 will herald the comeback of The Last Guardian, retooled and rebooted for PlayStation 4? More likely is an extensive stage demo for the company’s Project Morpheus, while Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End inclusion is almost a given.

Beyond that, Sony has a string of dormant first-party studios. From Polyphony to Sony Bend, we’re hoping to see the likes of Gran Turismo 7 unveiled if Sony really is to beef up its admittedly scant holiday line-up. The most interesting of the bunch, though, is Guerrilla Games’ mysterious new IP. Codenamed Horizon, rumors state that the Killzone dev is cooking up an open-world RPG replete with robotic dinosaurs and non-linear gameplay. One can only hope.
