Early adopters of Batman: Arkham Knight are reporting a series of technical and audio issues within the PC version or Rocksteady’s threequel, according to Steam reports.

Taking to the platform’s message boards, the majority of problems – which themselves are limited to those running the open-world title on AMD graphics cards – are appearing in the form of sporadic freezes, frame-rate stutters, and audio glitches. Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive has since acknowledged the issues in a message via Steam, with Vice President of game tech Gary Lake-Schall stating that:

“There are some known issues with the performance of Batman: Arkham Knight for PC owners using AMD graphics cards. We are working closely with AMD to rectify these issues as quickly as possible and will provide updates here as they become available. We thank you for your patience in this matter.”

In order to curb the problems, AMD has reportedly released a bevy of driver updates, with NVIDIA following suit – mind you, it is only the former graphics chip that appears to be causing the most problems. NeoGaf threads are, as you’d imagine, choke-full of early adopters venting their frustrations that Batman: Arkham Knight is set to go down as yet another triple-A release that launched headfirst into technical issues.

Beyond that, PC owners have been offering up workarounds to remove the 30 frames-per-second cap within Arkham Knight, allowing those with the technical knowhow to render Gotham however they please.

Batman: Arkham Knight launched worldwide today, June 23. Rocksteady’s threequel is already earning rave reviews and it’s available across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
