We’re now into Batman: Arkham Knight‘s third day on the market, and still there is no sign of light at the end of the tunnel for PC users.

Early adopters soon discovered that Rocksteady’s threequel was ostensibly broken on the platform, with many reporting sporadic freezing, framerate dips and wayward saves, and today Warner Bros. has opted to suspend sales of Arkham Knight on PC until a proper fix is readied. This applies to many high-street retailers including GAME, after digital traders such as Green Man Gaming began offering refunds for the beleaguered sequel just yesterday.

In a statement to Eurogamer, a spokesperon for Nvidia confirmed that the graphics expert is working closely with both Rocksteady and Warner to fast-track a fix. However, they noted that these technical hiccups are by no means exclusive to Nvidia cards, with many reporting the same – if not worse – after attempting to run the game using AMD chips.

We are working with WB Games and the development teams to address the performance issues of the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. We have made our QA and engineering resources available and will provide updates when they are available.

Though both parties are focusing on the task at hand, users have pointed the finger of blame in Warner’s direction, after reports surfaced suggesting that the PC port of Batman: Arkham Knight was handled by Iron Galaxy and a paltry team of 12 employees. Here’s the latest word from the publisher in relation to the suspension of PC sales.

We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards. We greatly value our customers and know that while there are a significant amount of players who are enjoying the game on PC, we want to do whatever we can to make the experience better for PC players overall.
