According to TVLine, the big bad for Arrow‘s fourth season has been cast. Damien Darhk, a former student of Ra’s al Ghul who turned to evil and was name-dropped in the final few episodes – will be played by none other than Justified and Minority Report actor Neal McDonough.

This is not the first comic book adaptation that McDonough has been a part of, as he famously played mustachioed Howling Commando Dum Dum Dugan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (first appearing in Captain America: The First Avenger and recently on Agent Carter and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and, ironically, as Green Arrow for several DC Comics animated short films.

Not much is yet known about Damien Darhk’s role on Arrow, though it’s been rumored that he’s the head of the secretive and dangerous organization called H.I.V.E. The character description seems to hint at that possibility, though it isn’t clear enough to say for sure:

“A mysterious and sophisticated villain, and an adversary of the late Ra’s al Ghul. Now the leader of his own clandestine group, this cunning foe will prove to be one of the Arrow’s greatest challenges.”

Arrow will return for its fourth season on October 7th, 2015 on the CW.
