New Images See Chris Evans’ Star Spangled Hero Touch Down On Berlin Set Of Captain America: Civil War

Barley a week has passed since Marvelites were treated to images of Sebastian Stan's disillusioned Bucky Barnes, but today, a fresh batch of stills have landed from the Berlin set of Joe and Anthony Russo's Captain America: Civil War. While there's no sign of the decorated star spangled suit, the snaps showcase Chris Evans' average joe turned world saver Steve Rogers, who will play an instrumental role in Marvel's upcoming threequel.

Barley a week has passed since Marvelites were treated to images of Sebastian Stan’s disillusioned Bucky Barnes, but today, a fresh batch of stills have landed from the Berlin set of Joe and Anthony Russo’s Captain America: Civil War. While there’s no sign of the decorated star spangled suit, the snaps showcase Chris Evans’ average joe turned world saver Steve Rogers, who will play an instrumental role in Marvel’s upcoming threequel.

In addition, both Chadwick Boseman and Martin Freeman – whose role remains a mystery beyond the vague ‘government official’ description – were also spied on the film’s German set greeting fans and signing autographs.

As if the title wasn’t already a clear indication, the Russo brothers’ Civil War will document an internal fallout from within the ranks of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. After yet another global event leads to collateral damage – we’re guessing this one in particular kicks off in Wakanda – the leading governments of the world are left with no choice but to nail down a mandatory superhero legislation that states all gifted beings across the four corners of the planet must make their presence known.

Effectively driving a wedge between Rogers’ and Tony Stark’s already fraught relationship, this legislation only adds fuel to the fire, and it isn’t long before the once-steadfast Avengers line-up begins to haemorrhage. Alongside the leading stars are Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd and Tom Holland in his first appearance as Spider-Man.

Captain America: Civil War will divide Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in a way Ultron could only dream when Joe and Anthony Russo’s threequel arrives on May 6, 2016.

Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
