After featuring it on the studio’s Twitch channel late last week, Techland has released the extensive 15-minute gameplay clip for the upcoming story-centric expansion releasing for Dying Light.
Priced at $14.99 – EU and UK are yet to be announced – the DLC will be titled The Following, bundling together a hoard of new weapons, vehicles and even a new region for survivors to explore. Headed up by members of the Techland development team, the video follows a quest line called The Trust is Out There, giving budding zombie hunters an early look at the new content in store.
Here’s the official description per Techland:
Watch our first-ever Twitch stream of Dying Light: The Following – the story-based expansion to Dying Light! Join the members of our development team for 15+ minutes of heart-pumping gameplay and insightful commentary. Take a closer look at the Countryside – the massive new area that’s as big as all the original Dying Light maps combined! Get a taste of newly introduced weapons and the drivable, customizable & upgradeable dirt buggies. Last but not least, take a sneak peek at Kyle Crane’s untold mission to infiltrate a mysterious and all-powerful cult!
From upgradable dirt buggies and various ranged weapons at your disposal, there’s ample reasons for Dying Light fans to get excited about the soon-to-be-released expansion, and it’s a testimony to the game’s popularity that there is still remarkable interest in the open-world survival game almost six months after release.
We’ll keep you updated on the release timeline for Dying Light: The Following as soon as Techland formally locks down a launch date.
