Tropical house has proven a particularly divisive facet of what the electronic music community dubbed “the deep house movement” a few years ago. Music fans seem to either love it or hate it – but for the most part, they tend to agree that Thomas Jack is the key innovator of the genre.
As such, the news of his first all-trop-house tour will likely be met with glee from the segment of the EDM community that celebrates his feel-good brand of four-four beats.
Unlike Jack’s other visits to the North American continent, the Tropical Express Tour will feature exclusively trop house artists. Names like SNBRN, The Bixel Boys, Felix Jaehn and Manny The Frenchie grace the roster of the tour, which features five dates from November 20th to December 5th on select coastal locations.
In the meantime, Jack will wrap up his current tour with a performance at Red Rocks Amphitheater outside Denver, Colorado for Big Gigantic’s Rowdytown IV before taking a month off – hopefully to work on new music, as “Rivers” turned out to be one of our favorite summer anthems.
