Starting with 2 Pac and Dr. Dre’s “California Love” – as well as impromptu guest vocals by an inebriated audience member – the mix takes a trip through the landscape of ’90s hip-hop before taking a turn into decidedly four-four territory. Given Diplo’s recent experimentation with future house (speaking of which, his Sleepy Tom collaboration arrives just before the 50 minute mark), it comes as no surprise that he would be capable of selecting music palatable to the sensibilities of burners.
