HBO has just unveiled the first official artwork for the upcoming sixth season of Game Of Thrones, and it would seem to leave no doubt about the fate of Kit Harington’s Jon Snow.
The fan-favourite character was knifed to death by some of his Night’s Watch “brothers” at the conclusion to season 5, but some additional information from the source novels as well as several sightings of Harington back in Belfast where the show is currently shooting had all-but confirmed Snow’s return.
This poster, which features Ned Stark’s bastard with his eyed obscured and blood on his face, definitely appears to offer definitive proof – though there is always the chance HBO are just playing with fans’ expectations here. They wouldn’t be so cruel though…would they?
The poster also confirms that Game Of Thrones will return in April, which should be a relief to fans after hearing rumors that we were going to have to wait longer than usual for our annual trip to Westeros.
