World premiere trailers were promised, and host and longtime producer Geoff Keighley is ready to deliver. With little over a week to go until The Game Awards 2015, Keighley has taken to Twitter to reveal that Ubisoft’s Far Cry Primal will be one of the headline acts of the event, introducing the first gameplay clip for the primordial open-world adventure.
First announced in October, Primal is set during 10,000 BC, a time when mammoths and sabertooth tigers roamed the Earth. As a radical change of pace from the Himalayan setting of Far Cry 4, Primal has piqued our interest based on its environment alone, though it won’t be the only attendee at next week’s event.

FAR CRY PRIMAL world premiere coming to @thegameawards next Thursday night. @FarCrygame — Geoff Keighley (@geoffkeighley) November 25, 2015
According to Keighley, Far Cry Primal is one of 10 world premieres set to be unveiled on Thursday, December 3. While we don’t expect to see nine new games parading out onto the stage, past events indicate that we’ll see a bevy of gameplay firsts, with an all-new announcement buried in the schedule not unlike Hello Games’ reveal of No Man’s Sky two years ago.
The Game Awards 2015 will take place on Thursday, December 3 at 6pm PT/9pm ET in Los Angeles. Far Cry Primal will be there, will you?
