Dutch Big Room superstar and former #1 DJ in the world, Hardwell, released a set of previews today for the upcoming remix collection for his track “Mad World” with Jake Reese, giving fans a taste of five different remixes, with renditions from Moksi, Quintino and more.
“Mad World” gets a variety of treatments for the remix pack, ranging from Quintino’s Big Room flip on the track to a raucous hardstyle version courtesy of Sephyx. Olly James and Ryan & Vin try their hand at an additional big room remix, opening their preview with promising ethereal vibes, before faltering with a predictable main stage drop.
The Moksi remix, meanwhile, opens with shuffling percussion and a vocoded takes on Jake Reese’s singing, before diverging into a wobbly bass house section. The acoustic version is likely to wind up as the most interesting version of the track, however, giving the pristine vocals the chance to truly shine against a back drop of gentle guitar and piano.
The remix collection for “Mad World” is set to be released on Hardwell‘s label Revealed Recordings on January 4. Check out the preview above and as always, let us know what you think.
