Some new information regarding Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant has come to light, and we’re gradually starting to put a clearer picture together of what we can expect from the director’s follow up to Prometheus.

Here’s what we know so far: Michael Fassbender will return as David the synthetic (excuse me, “artificial human”) in a dual role, Noomi Rapace will reprise Elizabeth Shaw but only in a “minor role,” the Xenomorph will be involved in some capacity, and the story will focus on a new bunch of characters led by Katherine Waterston, who will play the captain of the starship Covenant.

Now, costume designer Janty Yates has given us a bit more to go on during her interview with Collider. According to her, the film is to be set 10 years after the events of Prometheus – which does make sense given how long space travel takes in this universe.

“[It’s] not so much of a spacesuit movie,” Yates teased. “There are two different spacesuits in it. We are only carrying on one look from ‘Prometheus,’ which is with David.”

How will this crew react when they encounter the sporadically murderous David remains to be seen, but we should have plenty more information before Alien: Covenant hits theaters on October 6, 2017.
