“Dope” sees Rain Man bounce from style to style exuberantly, incorporating elements of dubstep, trap and bass house into the arrangement while still keeping the whole of the production anchored to a style that’s uniquely his own. As every other EDM artist under the sun further resigns themselves to overly specific genre parameters, the recent Dim Mak signee proves his salt by demonstrating that you can experiment as an artist while still retaining some measure of mass appeal.
