Loot Crate has announced a new subscription service, which is tailored and marketed towards those of us who consider ourselves gamers. Loot Gaming — as it’s called — was unveiled this week, and is described as “a monthly mystery box subscription with collectibles, apparel, accessories and more from the biggest and best video game universes.”

For twenty-five dollars (per month, of course), subscribers will set themselves up to receive a mystery box filled with 4-6 gaming-related tokens and items worth upwards of $60 or more. Most items will be manufactured specifically for Loot Gaming, and will run the gamut of gaming’s biggest brands, while incorporating indies, AAA, retro and new releases. This will sometimes include apparel, collectibles, and accessories.

What will tie things together is the boxes’ presentation, which will incorporate “game manual style booklet(s) and pin(s),” which is something that collectors should enjoy. After all, many associate a lot of nostalgia with old school manuals, and those have gone the way of the dodo bird in an effort to both keep costs down and save our planet.

“We know that our audience loves video games, which is exactly why we wanted to offer an experience that extends beyond the joystick, keyboard or controller. Loot Gaming will give people the chance to own a piece of those gaming universes and join an active community of fans who love those same great franchises,” said Matthew Arevalo, co-founder of Loot Crate. “We’re working alongside developers and publishers to create exclusive products for Loot Gaming crates, and they are just as excited as we are to bring these universes and characters into the real world.”

Loot Gaming will go on sale soon, and fans can keep themselves updated by visiting its official website.
