Following in the footsteps of The Walking Dead, Telltale Games has announced that Tales From The Borderlands will be receiving a physical release come April. The story-based take on Gearbox’s popular franchise was previously released across 5 digital episodes from November 2014 to October 2015.
Taking place following the events of Borderlands 2, Tales From The Borderlands centers around two different protagonists: Hyperion employee Rhys and Pandora-stationed con artist Fiona. After being captured by a mysterious stranger, Rhys and Fiona recount what brought the two of them together in the first place, although each one has their own view of the events. The duo’s misadventures are played out in traditional Telltale Games style gameplay.
Here at We Got This Covered we were pretty big fans of Tales From The Borderlands when it was released. We reviewed all five of the episodes separately, and the series even earned a spot on Chad Goodmuprhy’s Top 10 Games of 2015 list. I personally had it as an honorable mention, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t have a particular interest in the Borderlands franchise.
The physical release of Tales From The Borderlands is currently slated to hit store shelves on April 26 in North America, and the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the compilation will carry a cost of $29.99. Windows PC gamers, however, can grab the release for the low cost of $19.99.
