Terrence Malick’s work is almost always polarizing, and his latest, Knight of Cups, is no different. The beautifully shot film follows a writer named Rick (Christian Bale) living in Los Angeles who “undertakes a search for love and self via a series of adventures with six different women.”
While it won’t be for everyone, Malick’s latest delivers a gorgeous love letter to LA while taking us on a captivating and moving journey through the city, as we watch Rick interact with a number of women played by some of Hollywood’s finest actresses, such as Cate Blanchett and Natalie Portman, among others.
Recently, the press day for Knight of Cups was held in Los Angeles and while there we landed an exclusive interview with Teresa Palmer and Freida Pinto, who play two of the six women that Rick spends time with in the film. During our brief discussion, we spoke about their interpretation of the movie, what it’s like working on a Terrence Malick set, and what to expect from Pinto’s upcoming role in Jungle Book: Origins.
Check out what they had to say in the video above and be sure to catch Knight of Cups as it’s now in theatres!
