No this isn’t the premium Outer Rim DLC you were hoping for, it’s the free March update announced previously for Star Wars Battlefront.
Despite still being on the cards for a March release date, the brand new maps included with the paid-for Outer Rim packĀ aren’t what’s included in today’s update.
Instead, we’ve got the new Survivors of Endor map, which will be playable in Turning Point, Supremacy and Walker Assault, and provides a much different battleground than the already-existing Endor map.
Alongside the above, Rebel Depot, a new survival mission that can be played solo or in co-op has been added to its respective playlist, and takes place on Tatooine.
That’s pretty much it this time around. Unlike the free update rolled out a few weeks back, there’s no extensive patch notes detailing changes to vehicles or weapons which – presumably – means everything’s finally working as intended. Good, Boba Fett doesn’t need to be nerfed any further.
Anyway, the patch is already live for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, so go and flip the safety switch on your blaster pistol and get zapping.
With just a few weeks of March left to go, the Outer Rim DLC should be available any day now. Neither DICE or EA have given a firm release date, however, so keep your eyes peeled for more news as it comes.
