Doubling down on the physical and moral conflict between Matt Murdock’s Man Without Fear and Castle’s maniacal alter-ego, The Punisher, today’s sliver of footage features Jon Bernthal himself breaking down the damaged psyche of Marvel’s infamous anti-hero.

As one of the two lead antagonists of Daredevil season 2 opposite Elodie Yung’s Elektra, expect Frank Castle to lay siege to a fair chunk of screentime across the show’s sophomore outing, as he puts Matt Murdock’s moral standing to the test.

In the video embedded above, Bernthal describes the rampaging, gun-toting, unhinged pyschopath as so: “This is an evolution of The Punisher. I dove into this show and I fell in love with this world, with how dangerous it was. It was a world I desperately wanted to play in.”
